Ducks are very adventurous eaters who love a variety of fun fruits and vegetables included in their diet. Below are some fun DIY treats that they are sure to love!

Remember to give these treats in small amounts to avoid health hazards. Avoid citrus-based fruits and vegetables as they may mess with your ducks digestive system and cause them to be ill. Make sure all ingredients are freshly washed and completely cleaned before serving!

Green delight

3 small heads of broccoli (chopped finely)

2-3 leaves of lettuce (finely chopped)

2 small stalks of celery (chopped finely)

1-2 small basil leaves (chopped finely)

Once all ingredients are chopped finely, mix together until combined fully. Put the mixture in a bowl with 1⁄3 cup of water and let your duck enjoy! Remember to feed them this treat in small amounts to avoid overeating and potential digestive issues.

Fruit madness

4-6 medium sized grapes (chopped in fourths to avoid choking)

½ banana (finely chopped)

2-3 sell mint leaves (chopped finely)

1-2 small celery stalks (chopped into thin slices)

When all ingredients are finely chopped, mix all together with ⅓ cup of water until a soupy thick mixture is formed. When all mixed, feed your duck in small amounts to avoid choking and overeating.

Grains and greens

3-4 small stalks of celery (chopped finely)

1 cup of cooked brown rice

⅓ cup of cooked corn kernels

¼ cup of dried or fresh oregano.

After all ingredients are prepared, mix them all together in a bowl until well combined. Once a thick mixture is created, serve your duck in small amounts and watch them enjoy themselves!

Be sure the rice is cooked so that the duck does not choke or hurt themselves on the hard grains.
